Garlic Mashed Potatoes

This recipe is from Z’s mom – everyone loves them.

Garlic Mashed Potatoes

  • 5 pound bag of red potatoes (We made this batch for 11 people)
  • 6 large cloves of garlic
  • About ¾ cup butter

Bring a pot of water to a boil.  Salt the boiling water.  After the water is boiling, add the potatoes and garlic.  Boil until the potatoes are cooked – test with a fork.  Drian potatoes and garlic and put in a bolw.  Add butter and mash until it’s the consisitancy you you like.  We leave some lumps of potatoes. Add butter as needed  to make the potatoes as creamy as you like.  Salt and pepper to taste.
