Double Pie Crust

This one’s from Mom:

Double Pie Crust

  • 2¼ cups flour
  • t tsp. salt
  • ¾ cup crisco
  • 5 T. ice water

Mix the flour and salt.  Cut in Crisco.

Take a third of the mixture out and mix with 5T of ice water.  Once the water is mixed in, add to the rest of the mixture.  Mix only until ball forms (the more the mix the toughter the crust will be), you may need to add more water as you mix.

Divide into two balls and roll out for the crust.
